Three Boston-area writers will read:
Timothy Gager, writer of prose and poetry and host of the Dire Literary Series, will be reading from his latest book, Treating a Sick Animal: Flash and Micro Fictions, which will include the story FuTuReTube, which Gager explains is "The Facebook, YouTube and interactive video game world getting played out in the future in its most ridiculous form."
Daniel Hudon, a Natural Science lecturer at Boston University, is a scientist inspired by the world around him and explores the relationship between what we are learning about our environment and how it informs us of ourselves. He will be reading from The Bluffer's Guide to the Cosmos, published last fall.
Ian Poole eyes the potential hazards of social media, and in his words, will "attempt to answer the questions from the point of view of creatures that may exist in the future, and may be created by advancements in technology, but do not exist today."
After the readings there will be a question and answer session and the authors' publications will be available for purchase.
